For schools to provide an effective education for it’s pupils it needs to understand its pupils in a deep and meaningful way. Far too often schools inadvertently use judgments that are not based on the full picture of what is going on. These value judgments can effect the way teachers perceive and treat children which do not address their needs.

We therefore believe that it is important for schools to understand the cultural dynamics in a school which is made up of both internal and external forces; and we also believe that schools should be able to use much more intelligent metrics to understand the child as a whole – beyond just academic grades.

We use ethnography to provide qualitative insights on school culture and support schools to develop metrics and business intelligence systems that provide quantitative information about pupils.
