Chris was a successful secondary headteacher in the UK building five new schools during his eighteen year  tenure and introducing both new technologies and modes of learning.  Since leaving teaching in 2011 and working with the Skills Lab he has undertaken projects around the world including China, Argentina, the USA, Greece, Germany, Cyprus, Latvia, France, Saudi Arabia…  the list goes on.  Chris has worked on innovative educational projects and training and undertaken research for the EU commission and Microsoft.  In the UK he led a training programme with London Underground aimed at improving communication and saving costs amongst night construction workers.  He has a particular interest in cost reduction and measurement of training outcomes.

Co-Founder and Director

Pedram has worked in Personal and Organisational Development for 14 years as an Educator, Learning Designer, Coach and Facilitator. Working with businesses, charities and governmental bodies both nationally and internationally.

He designs and delivers experiential learning or change programmes working with execuctive teams to new entrants.

His aim is to help clients shift their awareness and make more conscious choices about their mindset and behaviour, in order to experience more fulfilment and purpose in their lives, cultivate powerful working relationships, as well as having impact in their endeavours.

He creates experiences using tools and inspiration from science and age-old wisdom. Pedram is a trained Co-Active Leadership Coach and workshop leader, and a CRR trained Organisation and Relationship Systems Coach. He draws on ideas from places such as neuroscience, positive psychology, mindfulness, Theory U and design thinking to create unique and engaging workshops and programmes.

In addition to his role at The Skills Lab is also an associate learning designer and facilitator at:

  • Abracademy. A Learning and Development company with mission is to bring more magic to the world and it does it through learning and development programs, which powerfully combine magic and facilitation; and 
  • The School of Conflict which has a mission to teach teams and their leaders how to have difficult conversations to reach peak performance. We do this through disruptive experiential workshops that create real change.

Pedram is a Fellow of the RSA and registered with the International Coaching Federation.

Previously, he was a founding lecturer at Ada, The National College for Digital Skills where he ran Leadership and Resilience programmes. He also worked at Teach First as Programme Director for various pilot programmes including Teach First’s inaugural ‘Innovation Weekend’ – a two day education hackathon using Design Thinking principles to conceive of solutions to education inequality. His previous non-executive roles include co-founding and serving six years as trustee of Spark+Mettle, an international youth development charity, and serving two terms as Governor at Spa Special School. He started his professional career as a teacher working as Head of Physics and Duke of Edinburgh awards leader for five years in South London. He holds a Masters degree in Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London.
