The model starts with the core principle that we are all leaders and a leader is “someone who takes responsibility for their worlds – no matter how big or small they choose that world to be”¹
This applies whether you are an executive, an emerging leader or a new entrant into the workforce.
We take this further and define responsibility as our ability to make meaningful decisions and take more impactful actions from a place of awareness.
In the diagram, this is described within the inner circle. The second and third circle represents the context in which we take responsibility. We take responsibility in our life’s experiences and we use learning or change programmes as a microcosm of the wider world to experiment with new ways of thinking and behaving – to see what works and can be taken on board.
This Approach to personal and organisational development has four interconnected cornerstones that act as the foundations that supports growth to get sparked, to be sustained and to stick!
